The trainer, Ms. Kobayashi, has been conducting her business in Indonesia for more than 14 years and also experienced living in Europe, which makes her rich in intercultural experience. When the first time she read the content of this training, she got really interested and said that we should deliver this training for Japanese who are struggling to increase their performance in Indonesia. She facilitated the training in a cheerful and lively attitude which created a relaxing situation for everybody to speak up.

Most of the participants have been living in Jakarta for less than 3 years, but there were some people who have been living for more than 6 or 7 years. Even they have been living in Indonesia for such a long time, they mentioned that “now the problems that I had been faced for long time is solved” and “now it became clearer the reason why I often feel frustrated with Indonesians”.

In the future, we are planning to held the seminar for 2-3 times a year, and the next seminar is scheduled to be held on March.

We’d like to have not only beginner participants, but also veterans who has long experience living in Indonesia, to make a more fruitful discussion place.

Participants Opinions (Partially)
  • I got to understand Japanese and Indonesian gaps objectively by data.
  • I got deeper understanding by first looking at Japanese characteristic objectively, and then comparing It to Indonesian.
  • I gained a better understanding by doing case discussion, and the cases were actually frequently happened.
  • It is very helpful to conduct smoother management
